David P. Smith is a multi-disciplinary artist. Singer-songwriter, visual artist, and a creator of noise/soundscapes under the guise of Grampa Big Balls. He is a dynamic performer and an unflinchingly original songwriter, consistently defying convenient genre classifications.  Deconstructing and reconstructing classic folk, hillbilly, and blues forms his music is tragic and hilarious, profane, poignant, surreal, and occasionally profound. 

David maintains an on-again off-again drawing practice, has a robust interest in photography, and has a darkly humourous Substack publication. Exposed to the philosophy of Dada in art school, David has been inspired and guided by the spirit of Dadaism throughout his creative life.
